Alexa Chung is one of the few who has a definitive style. Fairytale dresses, ballet flats and a touch of preppy-chic knitting have become synonymous with her name in the fashion world.
Although her fashion preferences remain largely unchanged, the model changed hair direction earlier this week. On Tuesday, the 40-year-old debuted a new bronzed hairstyle in time for summer, stepping out at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party 2024 with a head-turning beauty transformation.
Wearing a figure-hugging shamrock green Nensi Dojaka number, the multi-hyphenate model showcased her flamboyant tresses for all of London to covet. Made with the help of Bleach London founder Alex Brownsell, the look immediately sparked intrigue among Alexa’s group of celebrity friends.
“Welcome to the club @alexachung,” wrote fellow redhead Harris Reed, while designer Anissa Kermiche added: “@alexbrownsell you are a G.” Hunza G founder Georgiana Huddart said: “Amazing,” while fans compared the star to Julienne Moore and Atonement Cecilia Tallis played by Keira Knightly.
Referring to her new and improved choice of rare hair, Alexa said: “Atonement should have ended with her at the Archipelagic Void at the Serpentine Summer Party. Jk, it was perfect. Thank you @nensidojaka for this gorgeous Atonement Green dream dress, @florriewhitemakeup for my pretty makeup, and the genius @alexbrownsell for making my hair ginger chocolate or whatever we should say to describe it. It’s the same color as the Gin Gins candies that I’m addicted to. Electric brown? Brown Gingey?
Given how rare red hair is, it’s no surprise that Alexa’s look sparked such an intense reaction. According to Statista: “Approximately 1% of the population has red hair, making it the rarest hair color in the world. » Similarly, Gitnux reported that red hair and blue eyes are the rarest combination in the world, which takes Alexa’s blue eyes and red hair aesthetic into new realms.
Although Alexa can’t agree on a name for the tone, we can all agree that it’s a hit shade for summer.
