America’s New Favorite Fast Food You Won’t Find in New Jersey

It’s official. America has chosen its favorite fast food restaurants for the summer of 2024. As expected, there have been changes affecting the overall ratings.

Which New Jersey chains are on the list? 5 of the top 10 chains are in New Jersey. This includes 2 of the top 3.

That said, New Jersey falls short when it comes to the best of the best. America’s new number one fast food joint unfortunately falls short of the Great Garden State.

So, which of the top 10 fast food chains are in New Jersey? Let’s take a look and find out which chains are among USA Today’s top-rated fast food restaurants that we can find right here at home.

Let’s start with number 10

Arby’s ranks 10th nationally, with 13 locations across New Jersey. Next is Popeye’s, with 96 locations here in the Garden State.

Next, we ditch roast beef and chicken for tacos. Taco Bell comes in at number 7 nationally with 120 stores here in New Jersey.

Here are the fast food restaurants that rank between numbers 4 and 10. And the top 3? Here they are.

The top 3

The good news is that two of the top three are in the Garden State, both of which specialize in chicken.

And for number one? Yes, we don’t have any locations in New Jersey. So which fast food restaurant took the top spot this time?

This is a taco chain known as Del Taco. Not only can’t you find them in New Jersey, you can’t even find them in our area. Not in Delaware, not in Pennsylvania, not in New York. So unless you’re going on a road trip, you’ll have to settle for numbers 2 and 3 (click here to see the full 2024 USA Today ranking of America’s favorite fast food restaurants).
