Baldur’s Gate 3: The unwritten rules for playing a monk explained
The Monk is one of the most difficult classes in Baldur’s Gate 3 to play effectively, but knowing the key tips can make them a force to be reckoned with.
In his video uploaded to YouTube, Bouch explains his process of becoming cheese and what it takes to beat the game this way. Normally becoming cheese is possible by going to the Circus of the Last Days, but Bouch used a specific mod for a group spell, but replaced the spell with Polymorph Cheese in the game code. Cheeses don’t have many abilities and can only jump, perform unarmed strikes, and use a spell called “Smell of Cheese”, which prevents enemies sensitive to nausea from attacking for two turns. The entire nerdy group has an AC of 10, as well as 10 Strength, 10 Constitution, and 10 Dexterity. To make matters worse, each cheese only has 1 HP, making the adventure difficult to come.
To counteract this, Bouch made his entire party monks. It explains the bonuses granted to Baldur’s Gate 3The Monk class, including bonuses to AC and attacks when not carrying weapons, as well as others granted as cheeses level up. As cheese, they were still able to carry items, including explosives and treasures they picked up along the way, and while neither could cast spells, they could still use spell scrolls such as Feather Fall and Thunder Wave. And even though they couldn’t interact with most of the characters, including the merchants, Bouch found a way around that by interacting with some of the items the merchants were selling. This allowed him to sell items to purchase more spell scrolls.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Allows Players to Play in Multiple Ways
But there were some areas of the game that Cheese just couldn’t access. In order to interact with certain elements that advance the story, the group was forced to temporarily abandon their dairy disguise. Sometimes, Bouch would also resort to summons in situations that would have decimated each cheese’s HP. Fortunately, there are a variety of useful summons in Baldur’s Gate 3, especially for a cheese party. Bouch also noted that he relied on a bit of luck and timing to get around certain areas and survive certain encounters. There were a few other soft-locking moments that required a character to touch their hands, but somehow Bouch was victorious.
One of the calls from Dungeons and Dragons is that there are almost infinite methods to achieve a goal, and indeed, it feels like almost anything is possible in this field. Baldur’s Gate 3. Although it is not advisable for new players to attempt to beat the game using a wheel of cheese, it is certainly the most efficient way to earn cheese. Baldur’s Gate 3and certainly brings new meaning to the term.
