Barbecue and beer will help fund Ivy Tech scholarships thanks to Noblesville Rotary

The Noblesville Rotary Club’s famous BrewBQ returns this August. Food and fun will fill Federal Hill Commons from 4pm to 10pm on Saturday, August 17.

“We are excited to officially announce the 8th annual Noblesville BrewBQ taking place on Saturday, August 17th at Federal Hill Commons! said Rotary Club of Noblesville President Carrie Dixon. “This is a fun charity event that allows the community to come together to support a great cause, while sharing their love of barbecue and beer. »

This isn’t just a fun event for the community to enjoy the outdoors and music. Proceeds support local students attending the Ivy Tech Noblesville campus through scholarships.

“There aren’t a lot of scholarships available for students in technical fields of study,” Dixon said. “We are passionate about providing opportunities in these areas, especially given Noblesville’s focus on economic development.”

“Ivy Tech Hamilton County appreciates our partnership with the Noblesville Rotary Club,” said Ivy Tech Hamilton County Chancellor Dr. Rachel Kartz. “The annual BrewBQ is a great event that brings the community together over great food and good times while supporting Rotary’s efforts to provide scholarships to local students attending Ivy Tech Hamilton County. We are grateful for this long-standing relationship with the Noblesville Rotary Club and look forward to many more years to come.

BrewBQ is hosting a barbecue tasting competition with the opportunity for participants to taste some of the best barbecue around. The competition will feature a huge array of unique recipes, sourced from barbecue joints across Noblesville and Indiana.

Live music throughout the evening will be performed by local bands including Strawbury Jam and That’s What She Said. Beer will be on tap from several local vendors. The Bier Brewery will be back this year and has won several medals at prestigious brewing competitions, including the Indiana Brewers’ Cup, the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.

Primeval Brewing in Noblesville is also returning for a second year.

“We love being part of the community and are so excited to be able to serve beer this year at Rotary Clubs BrewBQ! » said Primeval owner Tim Palmer. “Beer and barbecue go together so well that it will be a wonderful combination to bring together.”

Northbrook Brewing of Arcadia is joining the festivities for the first time this year. For those who love wine, Spencer Farms Winery will also return this year.
