Friday night’s entertainment will stir up rock and roll memories as the ROX Band kicks into high gear from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Jawbone Park Main Stage playing rock and roll hits, mostly from the 70s and 80s, for a walk down memory lane.
The food and fun continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the sweet smell of barbecue filling downtown Buckhannon as 44 teams from 16 states compete for cash, prizes, the right to boast and the title of Grand Champion of West Virginia BBQ with entry to Jack. Daniels International BBQ Tournament and the American Royal BBQ Championship to represent West Virginia.
Bring your classic car or truck to the second annual Main Street Cruise from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (registration opens at 9:30 a.m.) with dashboard plaques to the first 100 participants. There is no fee to enter.
Saturday night’s finale features Ryan Cain and the Ables, 6-8 p.m., bringing their captivating blend of rock and roll, rockabilly, surf-rock instrumentals and honky tonk melodies to Jawbone Park. Don’t miss this energetic group, sponsored by Jenkins Ford.
