Bite it! Chat in the new Italian restaurant in Tuscaloosa

A new Italian restaurant has joined the culinary scene along Highway 69 in South Tuscaloosa. And I tend to promote Italian dishes, so this addition made me very excited. A friend was in town, so we visited Tony’s Italian grill.

Presentation:

A warm and friendly hostess quickly welcomed us and showed us at our table. Our waitress was kind, accessible, more impressive in the menu.

The configuration is typical of a new start -up restaurant reoriens the space of an old restaurant.

Here is what we ordered:

For an aperitif, we had the calamari, which was well done and appreciated by both of us. Then, a basket of garlic bread (not sure of the official name) was presented, and it was like a party at our table. I ordered the Piccata chicken dish and my friend ordered the Bolognese pasta.

Overview of food:

THE Calamars was excellent. I want it to be a little sharper, but my friend liked the way it was served. There was a beautiful rich marinara sauce to dip.

THE garlic were incredible. It is difficult to explain, but they had a nice soft center and the right amount of crisp exterior shell.

Before diving into the main dishes, we both agreed that the portions were quite generous, which makes them perfect for sharing with others at dinner or saving for a delicious lunch the next day. We had enough to do both.

Examination of Bolognese pasta was first -rate. The sauce was thick and fleshy, which made a dish of generous pasta. I got into a bite and I agree that it was really well done.

THE Pinned chicken It was well done, the chicken was tasty and the pasta was perfectly made. The sauce had a delicious taste, but it was a little too thin for me. I prefer a lemon butter sauce which is slightly thicker, not as thick as the sauce, but a sauce that can coat the chicken and the pasta.

Value:

I was treated that night, but from what I understand, the prices were perfectly well. I must hear about “how we should have ordered take -out desserts”.

Overall:

Super new place to satisfy your Italian desire.
