According to Yahoo News, Burger King released an ad on June 13 featuring its meal your way for $5. The commercial features a narrator discussing the cost-effective meal options available to consumers.
“Eat like a king on a budget; three tasty options, fries, a drink and nuggets, all for five dollars – wait, that can’t be fair! says the singing narrator in the commercial. “I just confirmed that this is the real price.”
The $5 Your Way Meal deal includes a choice of Whopper Jr., Bacon Cheeseburger or Chicken Jr., fries, four pieces of chicken and a soft drink.
Burger King initially informed TODAY.com on May 29 that it would reintroduce the $5 value meal. The fast-food chain is the latest in a long line of national chains to make the move, trying to attract money-conscious consumers.
“Burger King is accelerating its value offerings after three quarters of leading the industry in value traffic,” a Burger King spokesperson told TODAY.com at the time.
Additionally, in a memo obtained by Bloomberg, Burger King said it intends to reintroduce this dish before McDonald’s implements its comparable promotion in late June. In May, CNBC announced that McDonald’s USA would introduce a $5 meal value for one month, starting June 25. Customers can choose a McChicken or McDouble, including a four-piece McNugget, potatoes and a drink.

According to the memo signed by Tom Curtis, president of Burger King United States and Canada, Burger King intends to offer its meals for “several months”, unlike the Golden Arches.
Burger King previously offered $5 Duo deals, including two items from a selection of BK Royal Crispy Wrap varieties and a Whopper Jr.
The chain’s most recent announcement follows drive-thru consumers’ dissatisfaction with the high cost of fast food and reports of declining sales at other chains such as KFC and Starbucks.
Individuals are sharing information about exorbitant fast food prices on platforms such as TikTok, X and beyond. The cost of two Filet O’ Fish sandwiches for $17 and a single hash brown for $3 led to viral complaints that the prices discouraged consumers. Restaurants including Wendy’s, Pizza Hut and Buffalo Wild Wings are now taking note.
Fast food restaurants also participate in value conflicts. Applebee’s and Chili’s are offering low-cost deals, while Denny’s announced the resumption of its all-day low-cost dining deals, which will start at $5.99 in April.
