Imagine walking to work and your schedule is punctuated by hours spent eating chocolate. Well, now Cadbury is making that a reality.

Mondelēz International, the company behind the iconic British chocolate brand, is looking for someone to join their team as a Chocolate Taster – which means you can get paid to try new chocolate bars, biscuits and share bites from bags.

This isn’t the first time the company has been looking for someone to taste its chocolate – it previously advertised jobs in Wokingham – but this time it’s looking for someone to join its team at Cadbury World in Birmingham. Cadbury made the announcement on Sunday (7 July) to coincide with World Chocolate Day – and fans have gone wild.

The message posted on Cadbury UK’s Instagram page read: “As it’s World Chocolate Day, we’re giving you the unique opportunity to become a Chocolate Taster! Think you can tick all the boxes?”

The job description states that you will work with a team of panelists to taste products and provide honest feedback. Interested candidates should have a passion for food, great communication skills, be honest in their opinions, and be eager to try new products.

Primary responsibilities of the position include tasting chocolate products and providing objective feedback, collaborating with a team to reach agreement on taste, using clear vocabulary to describe products, and being aware of the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position.

The only downside to this position is that it is part-time and offers eight hours per week. But some may see it as an ideal side hustle in addition to another job. According to Business InsiderWhen the position was advertised in 2019, the tester was paid £10.75 an hour.

Candidates should also be aware that if you have any dietary restrictions, the position will not be suitable for you: you will be required to test products containing dairy, gluten and nuts.
