Celebrate National Soul Food Month in Nashville, Tennessee
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — While most people know June as LGBT Pride Month, the summer month also celebrates the best kind of Southern cuisine: soul food.
The South is particularly known for its good home cooking, and soul food is easily found in Tennessee. Whether it’s made from a meat and three dish or your own cooking, soul food can warm the heart as well as the stomach.
Here are some of the places you can find soul food in Nashville.
A Nashville treasure, Arnold’s Country Kitchen offers some of the best home cooking available this side of the Mason-Dixon line. Choose from set options for your main dish during the week and add rotating side dishes for this classic meat-and-three. Top it off with a slice of pie or a plate of banana pudding, and don’t forget some sweet tea to drink!
