Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard Reopens in New Location
SAINT PETERSBURG (BLOOM) – Get ready, St. Pete. Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard is back and better than ever. On Thursday, July 25, 2024, the popular chicken sandwich restaurant will open in a brand-new location, featuring an expanded drive-thru and an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering.
Local owner-operator Laurie Harris has been serving Chick-fil-A’s famous chicken sandwiches and hospitality in St. Petersburg for over 18 years. Now, she’s excited to continue that tradition at the new location, 2190 Tyrone Blvd. North. Whether you’re dining in, stopping by or picking up takeout, the restaurant will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The new approximately 5,000-square-foot establishment features a welcoming dining room with 86 seats (indoor and outdoor), two drive-thru lanes, and a designated outdoor canopy for face-to-face orders. Plus, with 50 parking spaces and a dedicated Mobile Thru lane for app orders, convenience is clearly the name of the game.
But it’s not just about the chicken (as delicious as it is). The reopening also brings about 40 new full- and part-time jobs to the community, adding to the 150 team members already employed at the restaurant. Harris, who began her Chick-fil-A journey in South Carolina and has been a local owner-operator since 2012, is committed to doing more than just running a restaurant. She’s focused on cultivating relationships and giving back to the St. Petersburg community.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to enhance our guests’ experience at this new location with the addition of Mobile Thru and an outdoor covered area,” Harris said. “It has been a pleasure serving at Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard for the past five and a half years, and our team is excited to continue supporting our community in a positive and intentional way.”
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is unique. Local owner-operators like Harris aren’t just entrepreneurs: they’re deeply involved in their communities, supporting local organizations, fighting hunger and education, and creating jobs.
Harris’ restaurant also participates in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which diverts surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits. Since its inception, the initiative has provided more than 25 million meals in the United States and Canada.
Of course, what would the Chick-fil-A story be without mentioning the food? Guests can expect the same delicious, high-quality dishes, from the Chick-fil-A Original Chicken Sandwich to fresh salads and sides. Orders can be placed for pickup, dine-in, drive-thru or through the Chick-fil-A app, with rewards available for Chick-fil-A One members.
