Chipotle Mexican Grill Launches Beverage Lineup for Summer 2024

Chipotle Mexican Grill has launched new ready-to-drink beverages for summer at its U.S. restaurants.

Available for dine-in, takeout and delivery, Chipotle’s latest offerings include Poppi, a popular soda known for its real fruit and prebiotic ingredients; Open Water, an ultra-purified, electrolyte-packed canned water in BPA-free aluminum packaging; and Coke Zero.

Poppi comes in two flavors: strawberry-lemon and orange. Each can contains five grams of sugar and 25 calories or less.

Chipotle’s culinary team has selected pairings for poppi’s new offerings.

Strawberry lemon poppi complements a chicken salad with corn and roasted chili salsa, fajita vegetables and a chipotle-honey vinaigrette.

The Orange Poppi is suggested with a steak quesadilla with adobo seasoning, served with guacamole, cilantro-lime white rice and tomato salsa.

In a major sustainability initiative, Chipotle has partnered with Open Water to eliminate plastic water bottles from its locations.

Open Water’s 16 oz aluminum bottled water is recyclable, certified climate neutral, and reusable. A portion of the product’s sales goes to regenerative agricultural projects.

As Open Water’s largest restaurant partner, Chipotle offers the environmentally friendly option to nearly 3,500 restaurants.

“We have refreshed our ready-to-drink beverage range to complement our existing range and meet our customers’ love of unique flavours and sustainable, healthy mindsets.”

Four years ago, the company launched a line of “integrity beverages,” including Tractor Beverage’s non-GMO (genetically modified) Aguas Frescas and all-natural, certified organic lemonades. Chipotle donates 5 percent of profits from these beverages to farmer-supporting initiatives.
