Dietitian shares 10 snacks of healthy supermarkets that she bought from her children
Dietician Maya Feller and his family are on a kick from Pomelo.
“I am obsessed. We are all Obsessed, “says at the Today.com.” It has become our night tradition: as soon as we have finished with dinner, my husband hands me a Pomelo and I share it with our children. »»
The Pomelo – the largest citrus, generally weighing between 2 and 4 pounds – looks like a grapefruit but has a softer and thicker flavor. Not only are they rich in vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants, but they are also low in calories.
“They are absolutely delicious,” explains Feller, noting that in Chinese culture, Pomelos is associated with luck and prosperity.
Feller, who lives in New York, shares 9 snacks easier than his children, aged 12 and 17, cannot have enough … And above all, a sweet cereal has made the list!

Love Corn
According to Feller, this “moderately treated and the body to the end” snack of this snack “moderately treated with the body to the limit” offers a satisfactory crunch. She also appreciates that he is free from common allergens such as peanuts, dairy products, gluten and soy, which makes her daughter sure to bring to school.
“It is literally a roast corn core that really has a really good taste,” explains Feller. She adds that, unlike the chips, which often collapse in the bag, Love Corn holds its shape.
Choose from a variety of flavors such as sea salt, smoked barbecue and Sriracha.
Toom Original Aim Pip
It is quite delicious to eat a spoon directly, but the Hellers appreciate this propagation with garlic twinned with fiber -rich foods like raw vegetables.
Feller wraps a spoonful in Tupperware so that his children dip carotte sticks and strips of pepper at school.
“I usually send a little more, because apparently, his classmates are like:” Can I have it? ” »»

Taylor Farms salad kits
For a healthy lunch, Feller empties the pre-paced green vegetables in a sealed container for his daughter. She then places the ingredients still wrapped (think of croutons) and dressing on top to prevent lettuce from becoming a soggy.
Each kit contains about three portions of salad.
“He goes home completely eaten, and I know with certainty that she does not throw him away!” Said Feller laughing.

Sumo oranges
In addition to pomelos, the famers cannot have enough Sumo oranges, a hybrid of mandarins without seeds and a navel oranges.
“They are also extremely easy to open, which is a big plus because it makes them more likely to be consumed,” explains Feller. “Sumos have vitamin C, they have potassium and they travel well.”
Pita chips from Stacy
“My son loves Pita tokens with houmous,” explains Feller. And she likes that triangle -shaped chips are made with simple ingredients: pita bread, olive oil and salt.

SIGNI PROBIOTIC BRINK 0%
Feller approaches these dairy drinks based on dairy products for his high school son, as they are lower in sugar than other brands
“He has a crazy schedule, so I feel better knowing that he has something in his bag that has proteins and probiotics – it’s like a bridge that advances him while he runs from class.”

Good peas chicks snaacks
The roast chana (chickpeas) was a must from Feller’s Afro-Caribbean house while she grew up.
“In Trinidad, people sell them in these small bottles of rum,” she says. “When I found them in the United States, I said to myself:” Oh my God! It’s amazing! “” “Not only that, but roasted beans are available in a wide range of flavors, including cinnamon crunch and smoked paprika.
Heller describes Biena Pickpias as “a crunchy snack and rich in fiber” which can also be twinned with love corn. However, it has a warning: “Get the recommended service size, because it is a real fiber, and if you have too much, you will be a Farty disorder! ‘”

Cascadian farm biological cinnamon crunch
“This is a sweet diet for my children,” says Feller – the accent on the treat.
“The box may last two days because it is so soft and they will have two bowls at a time,” said Feller.
Made with organic whole wheat and cane sugar, it is also free from synthetic pesticides.

Justin and almond chocolate hazelnut butter
Justin and almond chocolate hazelnut butter is a basic food in the similar kitchen. Every weekend, they coated it on homemade sourdough bread.
“I like it to be a combination of nut butter and chocolate,” explains Feller. “In addition, it has less sugar added than some of the conventional cacao-noix cocoa nut differences.”
While nuts have fats, proteins and healthy fibers, Feller advises to appreciate it in moderation.
