DMV foodies, rejoice! Black Restaurant Week is back to transform our taste buds into a symphony of flavors. Get ready to eat, tweet, and repeat!

WASHINGTON — As the DMV heats up this summer, so does its culinary scene with a red-hot event making a triumphant return: Black Restaurant Week!

Get ready to treat your taste buds as DC, Maryland and Virginia prepare to showcase their diverse flavors and vibrant culture through a delicious lineup of participating restaurants.

The 5th annual campaign will run from July 14-28. Check out Black-owned and operated restaurants, bakeries, food trucks and more in your neighborhood as they offer exciting deals and prix fixe menus in honor of the annual event.

Here’s a look at the participating restaurants:

DC-

Pizza Wiseguy (Chinese district)

  • Get two slices and a drink for $10.25 at this casual eatery.

Union of creators (Cathedral Commons)

  • Specials include a $25 lunch menu or a $40 dinner menu with a choice of appetizers, main courses and desserts.
  • Menu items include watermelon and mango salad, crispy Brussels sprouts, Nashville spicy chicken tenders, chicken Alfredo, Diablo pasta, Flatiron steak and more.

Oohh and Aahh (Georgia Avenue)

“We strive to preserve Black culture by using our talents in soul food. We support those who peacefully protest injustice, fight against hate and racism, and work to create an inclusive community for all.”

  • The Soul Food restaurant, founded in 2003, will offer several specials, including a two-meat entrée for $43.95, a fried seafood platter for $38.95, specialty cocktails and special combinations.
  • The casual American restaurant offers a three-course prix fixe dinner for $55 per person.
  • Menu items include deviled eggs, cheesy flatbread, seared salmon, roasted chicken, Cajun pasta and wild berry cobbler.
  • The American restaurant is known for its wood-fired pizzas, mini burgers, salads and more.
  • In honor of Black Restaurant Week, the restaurant is offering a two-course lunch menu for $25 per person and a three-course dinner menu for $40 per person.

Creole on the 14th (North West)

  • Louisiana Creole Restaurant creates unique dishes and craft cocktails inspired by the diverse cultures and Creole cuisine of New Orleans.
  • So far, no deals have been discussed in honor of Black Restaurant Week.

The Southern brunch restaurant features dishes like shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, Chata Rum French Toast and more.

They will be offering a three-course menu for $40 per person.

Maryland-

Miss Toya’s Creole House (Silver Spring)

  • The Maryland-based Creole restaurant didn’t release any specific offerings in honor of Black Restaurant Week, but it made the list.

West African Grilled Spice Cuisine (Brentwood)

“Spice aims to celebrate the beauty of black people by sharing the jewel that is West African street food.”

  • No specific agreement was mentioned.
  • Menu items include honey-spiced chicken wings, Suya lamp chops, Asun egg rolls, plantains and more.

Matchbox (Bethesda, Silver Spring, Rockville)

Virginia-

Big buns (Vienna, Reston, Shirlington, Ballston)

  • This fast-casual restaurant specializes in burgers, shakes and craft beer.
  • In honor of Black Restaurant Week, the restaurant is offering a $25 per person lunch menu and a $40 per person dinner menu.
