Fast Food Worker Retires After 54 Years

Hello, sir. Welcome to Water Burger. What a shitty memory. I’m doing well. How are you, sir? From that first Water Burger. I thought it was the best burger I ever had. And I thought, well, I could do that. Love at first bite. I had it. And is it for here or takeout? That was 1970-84. That’s when Connie Claxton started working at Watab Burger and she never left. I still need *** Junior Burger every morning. In 54 years, she worked at 10 locations, Terrell Texas the longest and I was there for about 18 years. One of my customers, I was taking his order. He had *** special needs boy, he was so nice to them. And I thought, man, what would it be like to marry him? They were married for three decades until his death 11 years ago. Yet Connie’s commitment to that *** Burger never wavered. And there you have it. Thank you. And she has become as legendary as the burger she serves. So I woke up this morning and thought, you know what? Thank you Jesus for. Let me go one more day. But this was the last day, my last day after more than half a *** of service, I mean it. I just feel in my heart it’s time to give up. Connie retired. What a *** work ethic. What I’m going to miss is being able to visit my good customers, especially. Thank you. What a *** woman. Well, it’s just been a *** blessing. I just thank the Lord every day.
