Filipino restaurant chain Jollibee is taking over North Texas. What’s on the menu?
The Philippines’ largest fast food chain is taking over North Texas.
Jollibee is a fried chicken fast food restaurant chain that originated in the Philippines but has since expanded to 230 international markets, including the United States. In Texas alone, the chain has seven locations.
The latest Jollibee opened in Arlington last week at 1700 West Pleasant Ridge Road. Other Metroplex restaurants are open in Dallas and Plano, as well as South Texas restaurants in Missouri City, San Antonio and two in Houston.

What’s on the Jollibee menu?
Jollibee’s flagship product is its fried chicken.
Fried chicken comes in all shapes and sizes at Jollibee, whether it’s bone-in, tenders, or sandwiches. Bone-in fried chicken legs and thighs are sold by the bucketful, with a brown sauce.
The two- or three-piece chicken plates come with fries, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, steamed rice, adobo rice, or spaghetti. Yes, spaghetti is on the menu at Jollibee.
The “one-of-a-kind” spaghetti is made with Jollibee’s signature sweet sauce, along with ground beef and hot dog, and topped with shredded cheese. The spaghetti can be purchased alone, as a side dish, or in a family-size pack.
Palabok Fiesta is another noodle dish on Jollibee’s menu. This traditional Filipino dish is topped with garlic sauce, stir-fried pork, shrimp, and egg.
Burgers are also a major part of Jollibee’s menu. The chain’s standard burger is called a “Yumburger” and is topped with their signature sauce, while their “Aloha Yumburger” comes with cheese, a grilled pineapple ring, bacon, sauce, and lettuce.
For customers wanting a bunless burger, Jollibee sells a hamburger patty topped with mushroom sauce and served with steamed rice.
Foodies can choose between peach, mango or ube tarts.
What is the history of Jollibee and where did they come from?
Jollibee’s has been serving fried chicken since 1978.
The first locations were in the Philippines, but they spanned four decades. In 1998, Jollibee opened its first North American location in Daly City, California.
Today, Jollibee has 74 locations in the United States with several more under construction.
