Is chocolate mousse healthy?

It depends on the type of ingredients you use to make your chocolate mousse. Typically, chocolate mousse recipes contain sugar, heavy cream, and sometimes butter, which gives it a low score on the nutritional scale. But if you replace these ingredients with better alternatives, it can definitely meet the criteria of a healthy dessert. For example, in this recipe, there is no use of sugar or cream. It consists of only two ingredients: boiled rice and melted dark chocolate.

What type of chocolate is best for making chocolate mousse?

There is no hard and fast rule about what type of chocolate to use to make a mousse. However, if you ask us, we recommend choosing dark chocolate with a high cocoa content. This will make your mousse really chocolatey and indulgent. If you find the taste of dark chocolate too bitter, feel free to use semi-sweet chocolate instead. Avoid using milk chocolate, as it won’t give that special chocolatey flavor.
