Holland America Line Pastry Chef Showcases His Favorite Creations on “Cake Me Away” – Window Cruise and Travel

“Cake Me Away,” a celebration of desserts on the Holland America Line fleet, features pastry chefs showcasing their favorite creations. This new event, which will begin around National Cake Day on November 26, 2023, features more than 22 five-tier cakes in 16 delicious flavors. The pastry team also created mini cakes that will be added to desserts at Lido Market’s Sweet Spot.

“Our pastry team includes some of the most talented chefs in the world, and Cake Me Away allows us to bring our guests the flavors of their home countries,” said Michael Stendebach, vice president of catering, beverages and guest services at Holland America Line. . “The culinary team is constantly developing new ideas and Cake Me Away gives them the opportunity to share their favorites and introduce new and original cakes for our guests to enjoy.”

“Cake Me Away” occurs once on seven-day cruises and several times on longer cruises at Lido Market. Guests will delight in popular flavors and cake creations, such as Heaven and Hell Cake, a combination of angel and devil’s food cakes topped with peanut butter frosting.
