I went on holiday to Scotland and stayed in a beautiful treehouse with breathtaking views – it was good for my soul
FROM brutal battlefields to breathtaking panoramic views, Stirling has a lot to offer.
But just minutes from town is a picturesque place to stay, amid the Scottish canopy.
BUFFER
Nestled in the ancient woods of Leckie Estate, a 12-minute drive from Stirling town, you will find The Treehouses at Leckie.
Each of the four hideaways is named after woodland birds and our stay was at Goldfinch, nestled in the branches of a huge sycamore tree.
The setting is rustic, but inside you’ll find a stylish kitchen, a plush super king-size bed with views of the Gargunnock Hills, a wood-burning stove and an outdoor bath for a dip under the stars.
Freshly baked bread, eggs, butter and jam await you, as well as a real barbecue.
Manager Erica also offers massages in the treehouse – with birdsong and rustling leaves within earshot, it’s pure relaxation – £70 for 60 minutes.
Best of all, our puppy Orla could join us and she loved watching the squirrels run.
