Travis Barker and veganism

Barker has been vegan for several years and regularly speaks out in support of animal rights.

He is believed to have adopted a vegetarian diet at age 13, but returned to eating meat after surviving a plane crash in 2008. Guardian in 2015, he explained that he had to eat an enormous amount of food to recover and that there was no vegan food available in the hospital.

“I had to consume 6,000 calories a day. Obviously they didn’t have a vegan chef for me, so I had to eat whatever,” he told the publication. “I ended up eating a lot of beef jerky and very large peanut butter smoothies, which were about 3,000 calories each.”

Travis then gave up all animal products from his life and became vegan. Since then, he has starred in campaigns for animal rights organizations and discussed the health benefits of a plant-based diet.

“I have been vegan for many years and vegetarian for even longer – Alabama (his daughter) is vegetarian,” he told PETA in 2017. “We have always loved animals and we choose not to eat animals.” ‘animals. We choose a vegan and vegetarian lifestyle…we have such an intelligent pig, and to think people still eat it is crazy.

Barker said he had “endless amounts of energy” from his diet and often snacked on vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower.

Kardashian has previously said that she eats mostly plant-based foods, but is not entirely vegan. The two have starred together in commercials for vegan brands, including for Daring Chicken in 2022.

“I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for 13 years, which has made me very conscious of what I put in my body and my children’s bodies,” she said at the time.

“I’m not entirely vegan, but Travis has helped me eat a mostly plant-based diet, which is so much easier with Daring… I honestly can’t believe how good he tastes chicken. There are plenty of plant-based proteins out there, but we’re always looking for ultra-clean options with all-natural ingredients.
