Lobsters are on the rise: here’s where to celebrate National Lobster Day during mass.

In New England, there may be no “bad time” to enjoy a lobster, but if you need an excuse to splurge on a fresh lobster, Saturday is National Lobster Day.

Although an unofficial holiday, some claim that National Lobster Day was created by Maine Senators Angus King and Susan Collins to recognize the lobster’s place in American history and culture , reported D’Artagan, a meat and fresh produce retailer.

Last year, National Lobster Day was observed by the Collins and King administration on September 25, although platforms like Forbes, Daysoftheyear.com and D’Artagan celebrate it on Saturday, June 15.
