Want to support a Black-owned downtown business? You can do both by grabbing a meal at Dawg Gone Good BBQ. As the name suggests, they’re all about good barbecue, from sliders and pulled chicken plates to their more unique dishes like the “Big Bite” which features sausages stuffed with pulled pork.
Here’s what one Yelp reviewer said: “Came to try Dawg Gone Good BBQ and was not disappointed! Delicious food! Well seasoned and homemade with love, it shows. It’s not every day that a southern barbecue restaurant also serves ramen. They also offer tacos and some of the more traditional menu items like St. Louis ribs and chopped brisket.
Here’s what one Yelp reviewer said: “I think the pulled pork was the best I’ve ever had – the 20 pounder was good and lean but juicy. The smoked tofu is also awesome and one of the specific requests from my daughter We love the vinegar-based yellow sauce – a very sturdy sauce.
