MGM Springfield continues to reopen with bars and a new breakfast menu
SPRINGFIELD — MGM Springfield announced on Friday that it has reopened its hotel lobby bar, opened a new poolside bar and revamped the breakfast menu at Bill’s Diner — all the final steps in a year-long process reopening and recovery from COVID lockdowns.
The casino is also celebrating its partnership with Hadley’s V-One Vodka and Berkshire Mountain Distillers in Sheffield. The press event took place hours before MGM hosted Brain Damage, a Pink Floyd tribute band, to kick off its Free Music Fridays concert series.
The lobby bar will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and the pool bar from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Dinner breakfast now includes: pancakes, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, hand-cut hash browns, “better than mom’s” bacon and sausage.
The message from MGM Springfield and its parent company in Las Vegas was strong after local officials reprimanded MGM last winter for failing to reopen retail outlets and other amenities and cutting hours of operation. in restaurants months after COVID restrictions were lifted.
