Modek Miami Mediterranean Food Restaurant Opening in Boca Raton
Dinner at your destination: Boca Raton restaurants worthy a roadtrip
With so many good places to eat in Boca Raton, what is a food journalist to do?
- Motek, a popular Mediterranean restaurant, opens its first location outside the County of Miami-Dade in Boca Raton.
- The restaurant is known for its kosher style food, including dishes like Shakshuka, Shawarma and Schnitzel.
- The new location of Boca Raton de Motek will include a menu similar to its other restaurants, with the addition of a roasted grid and new dishes.
Liked in the county of Miami Dade and considered worthy of a pilgrimage by many residents outside the “305”, Modek’s is about to open its first location in the county of Palm Beach.
Motek, which means “darling” in Hebrew, will open in Boca Raton on Wednesday April 2 on Town Center Road. To say that anticipation has been built could be a bit an understatement.
“Oh my god, it was incredible,” said regional director of the restaurant district, Alexander Oishiselidze. While they got closer to the opening of “people went through the door every day.” It is not the least. “I don’t know how they got my number, but people call Me For reservations. “”
The location of Boca will be the seventh restaurant in Motek and the first outside the county of Miami-Dade
It is Motek’s seventh restaurant and the first outside the county of Miami-Dade.
The first modek opened its doors in 2020 in downtown Miami. Since then, they have become well known for their Mediterranean Coose -style cuisine which includes influences from Lebanon, Turkey, Yemen, Morocco and more.
Among the favorites of the guests, the “Shakshuka for brunch is the best seller,” said Oisislidze. The plates and chicken and lamb sandwiches are also enormous, just like the Schnitzel, he said.
Although their food is designed to transport the guests to the Mediterranean, the interior of Motek is also able to whip them.
Designed by the same team that created the other interiors of Motek, Oishidze said: “This is the highest modek to date … It turned out to be fabulous.”
The new restaurant includes a private dining room called the Shabbat room. Made for gatherings and intimate events, it has a long marble table which can accommodate 14 years and has a beautiful mural inspired by the old historic district of Jaffar in Tel Aviv.
The outpost of Boca Raton will include the same menu as the other Modek locations, but Oisislidze said they were adding a roasted grid that will be used to cook chicken and lamb. Some of these choice cuts will be used for some upcoming menu dishes they call “grandmother recipes”.
One thing that will not change is the award -winning Araber of Motek. Although it is not your traditional hamburger, it has become a massive success. It has Kofta Kofta Kosher and nourished with grass (chopped beef, spices, onions, garlic) and is served in a pita rather than on a bread. Ravant on the hamburger, Oisislidze said “he is cooked in pita and obtains this beautiful crisp texture”. He won the category of people in the South Beach Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash in 2022 and 2023.
The location of Boca Raton will also include a special happy hour where customers can enjoy $ 5 of dishes and drinks from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
Oishiselidze said they were grateful to be in Boca Raton and excited “to develop outside the county of Miami Dade … and to bring a little love to Boca”.
