Morgan Wallen announced the release of his sweet tea on Thursday and it sold out in no time, but he’s not alone when it comes to musicians dipping their toes into the beverage world.
The country star and beverage company Ryl Tea have come together to launch Wallen’s Ryl Sweet Tea – a drink inspired by Wallen’s childhood summers in Tennessee, the company said in a press release to USA TODAY. .
“Ryl Tea and I have worked hard to capture the sweet taste of tea that I remember from my childhood,” Wallen said in the statement. “This tea takes me right back to my Mamaw’s porch on a hot summer day.”
Wallen has added his name to a long list of singers and other celebrities who own, have a stake in, or have done major collaborations in the beverage world over the years. The list of names includes everyone from George Clooney to Lil Wayne.

Wallen and Ryl Tea have been developing the drink for six months to “ensure it meets the highest standards of taste, health and authenticity,” the company said.
“Morgan was an invaluable resource in getting Southern Sweet Tea through a taste verification stage in the development process,” said company founder and CEO Blodin Ukella.
Tequila from George Clooney, Casamigos
In 2013, George Clooney and his longtime friends Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman founded the tequila brand Casamigos.

Luke Bryan, Two Lane Lager and Hard Seltzer
In 2020, the country star said he partnered with Constellation Brands to create Two Lane American Golden Lager, a 99-calorie beer with 4.2% alcohol by volume and 3 grams of carbs.
The beer was supposed to launch in March 2020 before the pandemic forced them to suspend production. A year later, the beer, joined by a line of hard seltzer, returned to shelves in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and other parts of the Southeast.
“It’s no secret that I love having a good time, and I’m also deeply connected to my roots. Two Lane struck the perfect balance, combining my festive approach to life and my connection to home,” Bryan said.
