Maryland Transportation Trust Fund Boosted by Increased Vehicle Registration Fees, Rideshare Fees

The state also added surcharges on electric vehicles, intended to offset the gasoline taxes those drivers don’t pay, as well as a 75-cent fee for ride-sharing services. The increases are expected to add about $230 million to the state’s Transportation Trust Fund over the next year. (WTO)
