BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhust cheekily compared co-star Sarah Keith-Lucas’ outfit to Gordon Ramsay’s battered body after updating viewers on his near-death cycling accident today. The 57-year-old chef told fans he was “lucky to be alive” after coming off his bike in Connecticut on Saturday, leaving his stomach and ribs badly bruised.
Gordon emphasized in a video shared with fans that if he hadn’t put on his helmet, he “wouldn’t be here now,” passionately reminding people how much they can save lives. As they then handed the floor over to Sarah, who opted for a navy top and purple skirt to present the latest weather forecast, Nina compared her purple skirt to Gordon’s blue. She joked: “Sarah joins us now for the weather, wearing a skirt to match Gordon Ramsay’s blue.”
In response, the weatherman said: “Absolutely, it looked awful didn’t it, poor Gordon,” and went on to share details of the not-so-pleasant weather across the country. Unimpressed by what she had just heard, Nina replied: “Thanks Sarah, it doesn’t get any better, does it?”
Later in the show, Sarah said that despite the disappointing lack of good weather so far in many parts of the UK, she had seen an improvement for today and the next few days. After Nina expressed her excitement about watching the England match tonight in the garden, Sarah advised her to set up a gazebo just in case.
In recent weeks, viewers have been calling for Nina to take on a more permanent role on the show.

Outside of her hosting duties, Nina juggles being a mother of three with sons Digby and Michael and daughter Nancy, 11 months, with husband Ed Fraser.
The presenter regularly gives her fans an insight into her family life on her social media pages, where she has a total of 60,000 followers.
In a different post from her usual content this week, Nina paid tribute to author and doctor Michael Mosley, who died aged 67 earlier this month.
Alongside a photo of the couple on the show, she wrote on X: “I don’t often ask for shots with guests, but he changed my life.
“Intermittent fasting so I can enjoy my treats…using my brain in different ways due to family history of dementia
“Always impressed by his ability as a broadcaster to make complex theories accessible to all.”
