Nina Warhust makes cheeky swipe at BBC Breakfast co-star’s outfit after horrific incident | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhust made a cheeky comment about her co-star Sarah Keith-Lucas’ outfit on the show after sharing news of Gordon Ramsay’s near-death accident. The 57-year-old chef told fans he was “lucky to be alive” after falling off his bike in Connecticut, leaving him with heavy bruising to his ribs and stomach.

Gordon pointed out in a video that if he hadn’t put his helmet on, he “wouldn’t be here now” in a video addressed to fans on Father’s Day. Nina said seeing the chef’s battered body made her “wince,” to which Ben Boulos added: “It looks so painful.”

As they then handed the floor over to Sarah, who opted for a navy top and purple skirt based on the weather forecast, Nina compared her purple skirt to Gordon’s blue. She said: “Sarah joins us now for the weather, wearing a skirt to match Gordon Ramsay’s blue.”

In response, the weatherman said: “It looked absolutely horrible didn’t it, poor Gordon,” and went on to share details of the not-so-pleasant weather across the country. Unimpressed by what she had just heard, Nina replied: “Thanks Sarah, it doesn’t get any better, does it?”

Later in the show, Sarah said that despite the disappointing lack of good weather so far in many parts of the UK, she had seen an improvement for Sunday and the coming days. After Nina expressed her excitement about watching the England match tonight in the garden, Sarah advised her to set up a gazebo just in case.

In recent weeks, viewers have been calling for Nina to take on a more permanent role on the show.
