Craving Asian cuisine but can’t choose between Thai, Chinese, Japanese or Korean cuisine? This is a fairly common dilemma faced by those who eat out. The urge to eat Chinese noodles, Japanese sushi or Korean dumplings all at once can seem like a tempting dream, destined to be disrupted by reality. Mumbai-based Nom Nom has arrived in Bangalore with its range of pan-Asian dishes, to satisfy your Asian culinary cravings.

Located in RMZ Ecoworld, Bellandur, Nom Nom offers an exciting fusion of Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Burmese cuisine. Familiar, comforting flavors evoke a sense of nostalgia in every dish. While a wood color palette dominates the interior, rattan furniture gives an understated look to the space. Nom Nom also offers an outdoor dining area if you want to enjoy a quiet evening.

As soon as we sat down it started to drizzle and we started our meal with a piping hot bowl of tom yum soup. What looked like a bowl of comforting flavors was the perfect solution for a rainy afternoon. We then tried the tender coconut and raw mango salad. Fresh coconut, raw mango and crisp lettuce topped with a creamy sweet chilli dressing made for a refreshing take on a traditional salad and was perfect for summer.
We then tried spicy bird’s eye chili prawns Indonesian style with a side of very addictive Thai prawn crackers served with a sweet chilli sauce. A blend of umami flavors perfectly balanced with the heat of chili.

Continuing with our starter menu, we enjoyed the chicken gyoza with Shanghai sauce. The gyoza with its golden and crispy exterior, filled with juicy chicken, paired perfectly with the sweet and savory Shanghai sauce creating a harmonious blend of flavors.

What really stood out was the salmon and avocado roll, a Japanese delight that incorporates fresh salmon and creamy avocado wrapped in nori and seasoned sushi rice – a must-try if you’re a sushi lover.
Moving on to the main course, we opted for Cantonese-Chicken style in a soy and chilli oyster sauce, with jasmine rice. Although the fragrant rice went very well with the curry, the dish itself was mediocre.
Already full, for dessert we were spoiled for choice. All impeccably presented, we tried the dark chocolate delight with Asian flavors, dark chocolate with a hint of coffee and matcha cream. The bitter dark chocolate mousse pairs well with the sweet nuttiness of the matcha. For the second dessert, we tried the mango tart, which was a seasonally appropriate choice and a hit for all mango lovers.
