THE Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. During these two 15-day periods, Paris 2024 will serve more than 13 million meals, the largest event catering operation in the world. Athletes will eat mainly in the Paris 2024 Olympic Village, which will become “the largest restaurant in the world, offering all types of cuisine to meet the nutritional needs and cultural habits of the 15,000 athletes from 208 territories and nations,” specifies the official website of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The 52-acre village features 15 different restaurants. The main dining room will remain open 24 hours a day and, with 3,500 seats, is considered one of the largest restaurants in the world. The venue includes a salad bar, grill, cheese stand, bakery, hot food buffet, fruit bar and dessert bar. The condiment bar offers 85 different options.

Athletes will be able to sample delicacies across four different culinary themes: French, Asian, Global and Afro-Caribbean (including halal options), Delish reported. Here are some key recipes based on the themes:
1. French: Veggie bourguignon and a brandade de morue (salt cod and potato mash)
2. Asian: Minced pork with Thai basil and basmati rice and baked cauliflower and potato dish with turmeric
3. Afro-Caribbean:Sauteed peppers, onions, tomatoes and peppers and fried shrimp with chermoula sauce
4. International cuisine:Lamb jus reduction with mint and vegetarian moussaka
The foods most requested by athletes will be available in abundance, including white meat, rice, red meat, nuts, yogurt, whole-wheat bread or pasta, fruits, vegetables and plenty of electrolyte-rich fluids. All meat, milk and eggs will come from France. The only products coming from abroad are bananas (3 million), coffee (27 tons) and chocolate, Delish reported.
The village features another typically French element: a village bakery that hosts workshops for making baguettes, croissants and other pastries.
