Reminder of the products of popular vitamins on the fears that they can cause an “ swelling of the respiratory tract ”
Several popular vitamins and perinatal products, including those for preconception, are recalled due to a lack of excessive levels or levels of potassium iodine. The products included in the recall come from Bio Concepts, NRC Nutrition and Naternal Vitamines.
According to therapeutic Administration of Products (TGA), light cases of iodine toxicity can cause “diarrhea, a burning sensation in the mouth, fever, nausea and vomiting”. But in serious cases, it can be quite dangerous and can cause “swelling of the respiratory tract, a cyanosis, a low impulse or a coma”.
In some cases, you may receive too little iodine from these products, in which case you may want to consult a health professional if you use this product on their advice.
If you have one of the prizes affected, stop using the product immediately and come back to the place of purchase for a refund.
