Say “cheese! the restaurant is closing; A concept for 21 and over should take its place – InForum

WEST FARGO – Say cheese! Mac & Melt Co., a restaurant focused on the comforting, gooey goodness of mac and cheese, has closed its doors.

The last full day of operation for the restaurant at 815 23rd Ave. E. was on Sunday June 2.

In a recent Facebook post, Say Cheese co-owners Jessica Johnson and Kelly Visto said they plan to reopen with another concept in the shopping center just south of Costco in the coming months.

“Effective June 3, we will close Say Cheese while we reimagine the space to better serve the needs and interests of the community!” Although this was not an easy decision, we believe it is the right one due to the changing times and we are extremely excited to share more details with everyone in the near future.…Let’s just say that is going to be “crazy!” ” says the message.

Reached Wednesday, June 5, Johnson said the restaurant is undergoing renovations and will reopen as a 21-and-over establishment with a new name.

“I can say this will better meet the needs of the community and just the overall space and location,” Johnson said. “We’re really excited about what it’s going to be and people can look at our Facebook to get more details.”

Johnson said the new concept won’t focus on the many variations of mac and cheese or pasta in general.

It will have “a much better menu.” We’ll still have mac and cheese on it, but we’ll have different options, more creative options,” she said, with “some unique plates that you wouldn’t necessarily see in the West Fargo area.”

The goal is to create “a great, fun environment.” Good food. Unique food. Fun drinks,” Johnson said. “The goal is to rebrand, remodel and bring back something that will meet the needs of the consumer, the space and the community at large.”

Say “cheese! Mac and Melt Co. in West Fargo ceased operations on June 2, 2024. The owners say they will reopen another restaurant instead.

The Facebook post also thanked the restaurant’s customers.

“To all of our loyal customers and incredible staff, we thank you all for your patronage and support over the past three years. And don’t worry, you can still get your favorite Mac and Cheese when we reopen in a few months!! “In the meantime, please use your gift cards and stay tuned to our Facebook for future updates! » says the message.

Johnson and Visto opened Say Cheese in summer 2021.

Visto also operates Big Erv Bar and Restaurant in Horace, ND, a rapidly growing community located on the southwest corner of the metro.
