Taco Bell Launches New Meal Combo Valued at $7
Taco Bell is offering a new combo meal deal aimed at addressing the affordability of fast food, with inflation still top of mind for consumers.
The new, limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box hits Taco Bell’s menu Thursday. The meal includes a Chalupa Supreme, a 5-Layer Beef Burrito, a Double-Stacked Taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce, and a medium drink. The restaurant chain says the combo is about 55% cheaper than the price of the menu items purchased separately.
Many major fast food chains have attempted to address consumers’ concerns about pricing. Last week, McDonald’s began selling a $5 meal for a limited time, which includes a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, 4 pieces of Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a small soft drink.

Last month, Wendy’s began offering a $3 breakfast deal for an English muffin sandwich and a side of seasoned potatoes, and Burger King launched the $5 Meal Your Way with a choice of three sandwiches, as well as chicken nuggets, fries and a drink.
This isn’t the first time Taco Bell has tried to make its menu more affordable, as consumers look for cheaper food options. The $5 Taco Discovery Box – a Crunchy Taco, a Doritos Locos Taco, a Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco and a medium drink – was available from April to June 4. In January, Taco Bell launched a new Cravings value menu with 10 items priced at $3 or less.
Since then, prices have increased slightly on some of those items. But there are still 10 items under $3, Taylor Montgomery, chief marketing officer for Taco Bell North America, said in a statement to USA TODAY. “Our Cravings Value Menu is one of the leading value menus in the industry … because we believe consumers shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and abundance,” he said.
With the new $7 Luxe Cravings Box, “we’re offering consumers our most coveted items at an affordable price and delivering on our value commitment to satisfy cravings with fan-favorite, full-size menu items,” Montgomery said.
