According to the affidavit, McDavid “intentionally struck the plate” while the victim “came out of the hot microwave”, causing burns in the third degree on the right shoulder and the forearm. He had allegedly angry because she was talking too much in their apartment in the 1700 block of Washington Avenue.

The victim has no phone, so couldn’t call the police, the document said. She also did not have a car, but ended up submitting a report after stopping at the police station during a visit to the Social Security office. Police took photos of her injuries and made a written statement.

McDavid has been in contact with his partner for almost a year, according to Affidavit. The victim said McDavid “recently” has become “violent” with him and that they have since broken. She also said he strangled her in the past, but she hadn’t called the police, the document said.
