Texas Roadhouse Rolls are rumored to be coming to the Walmart freezer aisle, but only in a few states
The Texas Roadhouse steakhouse chain is known for many things, but the freshly baked dinner rolls served with honey cinnamon butter are the best item on the menu. They’re baked in-house every five minutes, so all diners get hot, fresh rolls served right to their table. These buns have become an iconic item, with fans raving about their taste, texture, and accompanying honey butter. While admirers have tried to replicate the bread, getting their hands on real Texas Roadhouse buns required a trip to a local restaurant — at least until now.
According to an Instagram post from celebrity foodie Markie Devo, Texas Roadhouse Mini Rolls will soon be available exclusively in Walmart’s freezer aisle, but only in three states: Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. The package will include 12 rolls that can be baked in the included pan with the brand’s signature honey butter to glaze the rolls or serve on the side. These mini rolls are said to capture the sensory experience of the restaurant’s beloved rolls, to be enjoyed at home. Devo’s post notes that an expansion to fall 2024 is possible if the test rollout goes well. Until then, residents of the test states will be able to enjoy the delicious convenience starting June 29.

How to Enjoy Texas Roadhouse Rolls at Home
If you’re lucky enough to live in one of the three states where you’ll soon be able to buy the iced version, enjoying the rolls at home will be easy. For those outside of testing states, you’ll need to get a little more creative. You can purchase just the rolls and butter at Texas Roadhouse – just visit the website or use the app to place a pickup order. Select “Side Sides & Extras” to choose additional fresh bread and a side of honey butter. It’s a great way to enjoy the rolls without the wait and is a popular option for holiday dinner prep.
There are also many copycat recipes if you want to try making your own from scratch. Alternatively, some store-bought brands, like Sister Schubert’s yeast rolls, give the Texas Roadhouse vibe and are readily available. Make honey-cinnamon butter using butter, powdered sugar, honey, and cinnamon, and you’ll be well on your way to (almost) the full experience. And if you can’t get enough, you can buy a cinnamon butter candle on the website: close your eyes and you might think you’re in a restaurant.
