The Best Chicken Tenders Near West Palm Beach, According to Post Readers

Chicken tenders. Chicken strips. Chicken fillets.

Whatever name diners choose to give them, we know they’re very popular in Palm Beach County.

According to Jan Belwood:

“Great article on chicken tenders! I especially liked your preference for Bud’s. We’ve been going to Bud’s for way too many years to mention… I loved it then and still do after all these years… And I agree about the moistness, which I think comes partly from the fact that they fry the tenders and then put them in a semi-closed box that tends to steam them a bit. But it’s still excellent and worth the drive to Rivera Beach for an occasional treat.”

Readers may recall that the Palm Beach Post recently decided to find out which local fast food purveyor had the best fried chicken tenders. Not wings…not sandwiches…tenders.

After spending a week snacking at local restaurants and savoring their fried chicken tenders, we released a ranking of the top 10 restaurants based on scores in five categories: flavor, texture, batter (coating), and sauces. The final ranking saw newcomer Huey Magoo’s (with a location in West Boca Raton) come in one spot ahead of ubiquitous local favorite Bud’s Chicken and Seafood.
