The culinary blogger goes to Govan to discover Alex Ferguson’s favorite bakery with 50p Jam Donuts

An extremely popular social media chain which reviews the hidden food jewels of the United Kingdom has become viral again for his last trip to Scotland to discover the favorite bakery of Sir Alex Ferguson – narrowly avoiding a street fight in the process.

Food Review Club, which sends its teams through the United Kingdom to review the best restaurants in the United Kingdom, street cuisine, fish and chips, Sunday roasts, take-out dishes and pubs turned to Govan. They wanted to try Watson’s Bakery, on Shaw Street, which offers incredible creations for “mental prices”.

Having led almost six hours to get there, they had to avoid a street fight just to enter the famous food spot, but as they discovered, it was worth it.

Publishing on the trip, they wrote: “We were below Watsons Bakery in Govan, Glasgow. A 70 -year -old family business selling pies at £ 1 and 50p.

And it turns out that the answer was yes, because they shared the clip with their hundreds of thousands of followers through Tiktok and Instagram.

Speaking on the trip, the main critic Matt, who launched the chain in 2018, said that he had driven six hours “for a meat pie and a donut”.

Confirming that they were in Govan, he added “the kingdom of Govan” to Glasgow, declaring: “It is the territory of Sir Alex Ferguson and you probably know exactly where I am going. I’m going to get a tart and a bakery donut from Watson. I heard everything on this subject.”

He joked the person who recommended him jokingly said it was probably the least “place of content” that you might think, but the food “strikes”.

Ask if everything is done coolly on site (it’s), he then asked the staff: “Is it true that Sir Alex Ferguson brought the Manchester United team here?”

The welcoming staff member Sandra replied: “It is indeed. They parked the bus there.”

Matt could not believe his ears when they continued to say that he “always arrives regularly”, with them adding that “he is an absolute gentleman and has a very good sense of humor”.

In the direction of the outside, the gourmet was also shocked by the prices, which, according to him, were 50p for the jam donut and £ 2.10 for the two pies.

It seems that he agrees with the legend of Manchester United, loving the tape tart (“perfectly cooked”, “pepper” and “warm, warm and filled”) and the jam donut, the thing that Matt was impatiently awaiting, left him a huge smile on his face.

He finally evaluated the bakery and 8.3 out of 10 in total.

And the fans loved the clip, and the bakery, with a publication “made their hearts sing”, by writing: “Places like this maintain the communities that turn. In a constantly evolving world and they remain. Somewhere, you do not need a lot of money and I always have a warm welcome. My father has a coffee for years and that is what reminded me. What a beautiful little gem.”

Another added: “Canny beat a Watson pie that I live in England now and I bring about 20 to the house and I gave them.”
