The booming well-being industry of 6.3 billions of dollars, which has long been criticized for having pushed pseudoscientific health allegations to humans, is now excessive to its growing impact on animal health and pandemic risk.
From vintage food diets to pets with anti-veterinary disinformation, experts warn that the well-being industry allows the spread of H5N1 avian flu, a deadly virus likely to pass from animals to humans.
The virus has already cost the life of interior cats in California and spread among birds, cattle and other mammals. The danger of raw regimes

From animal health to human risk

Under the Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the center was emptied by layoffs and resource cuts, just like H5N1 threatens to accelerate.

The anti-science movement that has enabled COVID-19 and the disinformation of measles now feeds the spread of H5N1 through pets and livestock, warn the experts-and this could lay the foundations of another pandemic.
“The virus is dangerous,” said Dr. Love. “But the real threat is the anti-science culture that allows it to spread.”
