AN ICONIC US fast food giant is launching 15 new restaurants in the UK this year – will there be one near you?
Hungry Brits were delighted to learn that Popeyes UK would be opening its 50th branch amid exciting menu changes and tasty twists on traditional dishes.

This is the 18th opening this year alone, with 15 more sets planned.
The industry giant is now welcoming its New Orleans menu to Glasgow, amid a string of imminent openings scattered across the UK.
Popeyes crossed the pond in 2021 and has since proven to be a hit with hungry customers.
They see 125,000 of their iconic Shatter Crunch Chicken Sandwiches baked and enjoyed by happy customers every week.
And, in the coming months, the company will also cut the ribbon on its very first site in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
In addition, a second site in Luton and a third in Manchester are being opened, with the current stores continuing to be very successful.
Plans to create several additional branches will lead to the creation of an additional 2,000 jobs in their local communities, according to the fast food chain.
Tom Crowley, CEO of Popeyes UK, said: “In just 30 months, our remarkable Popeyes UK team has secured a pipeline of 50 new leading sites, including our first ever Northern Ireland site opening very soon in Belfast .
“Currently, Popeyes UK is the fastest growing QSR chicken brand in the UK, growing 125% year-on-year between May 2023 and May 2024.
“The sustained demand for Popeyes in the UK is incredible, but not unexpected.
“We’ve seen overnight queues for almost every opening since our UK launch in 2021, with fried chicken fans queuing more than 24 hours before new Popeyes restaurants open.
“We remain committed to our expansion plans and look forward to achieving new milestones in the years to come. »
It comes as Popeyes revealed a major menu change as the chicken chain turned a viral hack into an official item.
The fast food giant saw how many customers were adding a second chicken breast when ordering a chicken sandwich and decided to make it official.
The Double Stack Sandwich is a mouth-watering treat made with two deliciously marinated chicken breasts from Popeyes.

And the Louisiana-based chain has also introduced breakfast rolls, muffins, sweet snacks and sides.
