They’re growing in popularity in Los Angeles, but you don’t have to live there to enjoy them. These stuffed bagels are not only delicious but also incredibly easy to bake in 30 minutes. Here’s how to make bagels stuffed with cream cheese and garlic.
What are Garlic Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagels?
Garlic and cream cheese stuffed bagels have taken social media by storm, becoming a breakfast sensation on the sunny West Coast. These bagels aren’t your typical morning meal; they’re filled with rich cream cheese that oozes with every bite. After slicing and pouring cream cheese into each cup, the bagel is coated in a buttery, garlicky Parmesan sauce before baking until golden brown. Watch the TikTok below to see the results:

Tips for the Best Garlic Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagel
This bagel has become my new favorite breakfast to make on the weekends. Follow these helpful tips below to recreate this
1. Cut the bagels
Cut thin slices that divide the bagel into 6 to 8 equal sections. But don’t cut it completely; you want just enough space without separating the bagel. (Learn how to cut your bagels into thirds!)
2. Make your own DIY piping bag
If you don’t have a piping bag, no problem. Simply fill a resealable plastic bag with the cream cheese, then cut off a small corner.
3. Add *this* to your cream cheese filling
For a creamier topping, consider mixing ÂĽ cup heavy cream into the cream cheese. This makes it richer and less dense to evacuate.
Garlic Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagel Recipe
I followed @kittys_kitchen’s video tutorial above, but you can also use an oven if you don’t have an air fryer. For extra garlic flavor, feel free to add a little minced garlic into the cream cheese filling.
Ingredients:
-
Store-bought bagels of your choice
-
1 cup cream cheese, softened
-
1 C. salt
-
½ cup melted butter
-
6 cloves of garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp. dried parsley
-
Grated parmesan
Directions:
-
Total time: 30 minutes
-
Yield: 4 servings
-
First, preheat the oven to 350°F or the air fryer to 400°F. Next, cut your bagels into 6 to 8 equal sections, being careful not to cut them all the way through.
-
Combine the cream cheese and salt in a bowl, whisk until smooth, then place into your DIY piping bag. Garnish each cup with garnish.
-
Mix the melted butter, garlic, parsley and parmesan in a bowl. Next, dip each bagel in the sauce before placing it on a lined baking sheet. Add more sauce or grated parmesan on top, if desired.
-
Bake for 15 minutes (9 minutes in the air fryer) or until golden brown, then leave to cool before serving.
Storage Instructions
These cream cheese and garlic stuffed bagels are best enjoyed fresh. But if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. You can also freeze them, but do so before cooking.
