The 20th Annual Wine and Food Week at The Woodlands
The 20th annual Wine and Food Week returns, with fan-favorite events including Wine Around the World Wednesday; Get frost in Rose’ Way at Peach Orchard Venue; Vine ladies tasting, lunch and round table at the Carlton Woods Club; and Sips, Suds & Savor. The week ends with the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase held at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Ballroom.
Wednesday June 5
El Tequileño Tequila Dinner at Hugo’s
Hugo’s, 1600 Westheimer, will host an El Tequileño Tequila Dinner on Wednesday, June 5, with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by a four-course sit-down dinner at 6:30 p.m. Highlights include tuna ceviche, duck carnitas taco , grilled strip steak in mole pasilla and mole chocolate cake. Places cost $130 per person.
Tuna distribution dinner at Norigami and Hidden Bar
Hidden Group’s exclusive omakase restaurant, Hidden Omakasein partnership with its other restaurants Sushi by Hidden and Norigami, is hosting a special “Tuna Breakdown” dinner at Norigami and hidden bar, 2715 Bissonnet, Wednesday June 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $300 per person. The dinner will feature chefs Jimmy Kieu and Marcos Juarez breaking down a 300-pound bluefin tuna to create 15 dishes using all parts of the fish.
Houston Chef Series at McCormick & Schmick’s
Landry’s Inc. has brought back its Houston Chef Series, offered on select evenings through Wednesday, August 7 and with this year’s theme inspired by “presidential state dinners.” This week, Chef Tim Eckard will present “The First Ladies Supper Club” at McCormick & Schmick’s from 7 to 9 p.m., with features such as the Mrs. Betty Ford-inspired Smoked Scallop Diver and Apple Pan Dowdy Ă la Mrs. Abigail Adams. The price is $125 per person for five courses with drink pairings.
Friday June 7
Celebrating National Donut Day at Shipley Do-Nuts
Shipley Do-Nuts is celebrating National Donut Day by offering its signature glazed donut to all guests with any purchase. Customers can visit their local Shipley store or order online with the code DONUTDAY24.
Tasting Macallan at Brennan’s in Houston
Brennan 3300 Smith, is hosting an exclusive Macallan tasting from 5 to 7 p.m. The Macallan flight will include the Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year Old, Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask and Macallan Harmony Intense Arabica and light bites will be prepared by the kitchen team. .
Saturday June 8
McGovern Centennial Gardens Gardens and Goblets
Maintained at McGovern Centennial Gardens1500 Hermann, Noon to 3 p.m., Gardens and Goblets Patio Cocktail and Mocktail Competition Challenges Houston’s Leading Restaurants and Bars, Including Hidden Bar, Woosters Garden, Wild, Verde Garden, Bayou Heights Bier Garden, Grand Prix, Guard & Grace, Loch Bar, The Lymbar, Money Cat And Zanti — to develop an innovative concoction that will be judged by a panel of tastemakers and local participants. The 21+ event will also feature raffle items, a local DJ, taco deals from Tacodeli, yard games and more. Tickets are $50 ($40 for Urban Green members), and all proceeds will benefit the stewardship and improvement of Hermann Park.
Saint Arnold Brewing Company 30th Anniversary Party
Oldest craft brewery in Texas and Houston celebrates 30 years of brewing beer with festival on the Saint-Arnold campus, 2000 Lyon. The festival will feature several renowned Bayou City musical artists collaborating for the first time, including Kam Franklin, Devin the Dude, Robert Ellis and Fat Tony. General admission is $15 with food and drinks available for purchase. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the party runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday June 9
EaDough Pastries and Provisions Pop-Up in Auden
EaDough Pastries and Provisions is hosting a pastry pop-up at its sister restaurant, Auden, 3737 Cogdell, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Customers can choose between pastry chef Kripa Shenoy’s version of the famous Crookie ($8), a twice-baked croissant with a gooey chocolate chunk cookie nestled inside, and the Guava Danish ($7.50 ) with homemade cream cheese and guava filling in a flaky, flaky pastry made with French butter. The pop-up will also serve EaDough’s Iced Horchata Latte ($5) and Cold Brew ($5).
Sunday Brunch Social with Chef Dawn Burrell at Sawyer Ice House
Enjoy live music, great vibes and signature dishes from Top Chef star Dawn Burrell as she takes over Sunday Socials at Sawyer Ice House, 1420 Sawyer, every Sunday in June from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. h. Discover the whole smoked oxtail and rice porridge dishes. for 2 ($35) at the Big Ass Summer Salad with Spicy Berber Salmon ($16 without salmon, $22 with salmon or pork belly). Diners are encouraged to pre-order by Thursday at 9 p.m. for the following Sunday, although walk-up orders are available.
SSF Back to the Future Dinner at Fèges BBQ
Chef Chris Shepherd brings together some of his favorite protĂ©gĂ©s, including Feges co-owners Patrick Feges and Erin Smith, Victoria Dearmond, JD Woodward, Lyle Bento, Chris Bednorz and Lucas McKinney, for a special Back to the Future dinner, hosted At Fèges BBQ Spring Branch, 8217 Long Point, 5 p.m. Expect dishes like PB&J Wings, Soy-Cola Marinated Deviled Eggs, Cha Ca Crab Cakes, Goat Cheese Dumplings and Pickled Pie Squares as well as a selection of wines and drinks hand-picked by Southern Smoke’s Beverage Director, Matthew Pridgen. Tickets are $200 and all ticket proceeds will go directly to Southern Smoke’s emergency relief grants and the Behind You mental health program.

OCA-Greater Houston will host the fifth annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Restaurant Week, a citywide event celebrating the culinary heritage of Houston’s AAPI communities. No, through June 15, every donation of $25 or more will unlock the AAPI Restaurant Week digital passport with a QR code to access special offers from more than 50 AAPI and AAPI-owned restaurants and AAPI chefs across the city.
Weekend Jazz Brunch and $24 Set Menu at Brennan’s of Houston
In honor of graduates, Brennan’s, 3300 Smith, is expanding its popular jazz brunch from Sundays to Saturdays throughout the month of May. Guests can enjoy a two-course celebration special for $24, accompanied by the sounds of the Jazzy Brunch Bunch trio, who will roam the restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The special two-course package is also available for lunch on weekdays, Tuesday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Pride Month at Common Bond
During Pride Month, June 1-30, Common Bond will offer a Pride Cream Puff to celebrate the LQBTQIA+ community at all Common Bond Bistro & Bakery and On-The-Go locations. The light and fluffy festive pastry is filled with tropical mango passion fruit diplomate cream and topped with whipped cream, mango passion fruit shell and rainbow decor.
Chilled Spicy Tatsu-Ya Ramen
Spicy Chilled, the refreshing, broth-free cold ramen dish, is back at all six Ramen Tatsu-Ya locations in Texas, including the Houston location at 1722 California. The hot-weather staple ($14) is jazzed up with spicy toppings like pirikara (spicy) ground pork, chili oil and karashi mustard, giving it a wasabi-like punch.
