Kate took to TikTok to share a photo of what she wanted: a white heart-shaped cake with black frosting that read, “Coming November 2024.”

The mother-to-be wanted hers to be written “Available in January 2025”.

And while the cake itself looked good, including the frosting applied around the edge, the writing itself looked wonky and unprofessional.

Kate then “made them do it again.”

But the second attempt was even worse, with even more wobbly handwriting and the “Jan” much thicker than everything else.

“I’m sorry WHAT?!” she wrote over it.

Eventually, Kate decided to “fix it myself,” replacing the writing with pre-cut icing letters to read “Arriving January 2025.”

“When you hire a baker to make a gender reveal cake…it goes wrong,” she captioned the video.

“This is hilarious!!!,” one person wrote in the comments section.

“Man, the second cake gets funnier every time,” laughed another.

To which Kate replied: “LOL I KNOW!”

“This is shocking!!! I’m a pastry chef and I could never do this!!!!!” exclaimed a third.

“When Temu makes your cake!” someone else said.

But someone else tried to defend the baker, writing: “They literally write what you send them.

“In my opinion, they did nothing wrong, except for a slight negligence.

“If you wanted that word, you should have told them!?”

The difficulty of choosing a baby name

CHLOE Morgan, Senior Editor at Fabulous, has revealed her dilemma over choosing a name for her baby…

At 35 weeks pregnant, the hardest part of my pregnancy in the last few months (not counting the insomnia and countless nighttime pee breaks!) has been choosing a name for my baby.

The dilemmas are endless…

My partner and I went for a private ultrasound to find out the gender as early as possible – partly because we thought it would make choosing a name for the baby a lot easier, as we would only have to list names for one gender rather than two.

How wrong we were…

I was absolutely thrilled to find out I was expecting the little girl I had dreamed of, but as one of the last of my friends to get pregnant, I’ve had countless conversations over the years with excited friends discussing their favorite baby names… something I wish I could turn back time and never hear again.

With every friend mentioning at least 10 possible nicknames, I can’t help but think that several are now off limits, even though I know it’s something they wouldn’t mind in the slightest – it’s a total turn-off for me!

The debate keeps coming up on social media forums: can you choose the same name that was a “potential” one for a friend’s baby?

This is a very controversial topic and opinions are always divided… and I don’t want to be THAT person.

While some will say there are thousands of other names to choose from, others will say you should choose YOUR favorite…after all, there’s no guarantee that person will have another baby.

Then there’s also the problem of finding a name you love… only to search for it online and read one negative review among hundreds of positive ones that you just can’t get over.

I made the exact same mistake when I fell in love with a certain name (I won’t reveal it because I don’t want to ruin it for others!)… only to have someone point out that it constantly autocorrects on a phone to something quite rude instead.

So we went back to the drawing board.

With only five weeks left, it looks like our little one will be known as “baby girl” for a little while longer!

To which Kate retorted: “I would have agreed with the wording!”

“This is the real script. It looks like a child wrote it.”

“That’s why I decided to change it completely when I had to repair it.”

“Anyone who wants to be a baker needs to know cursive and be comfortable enough with icing to make indentations,” another person commented.

“Handwriting always looks better in cursive. I’m sorry you had such a bad time,” someone else sighed.

“That’s why I use chocolate letter molds so the writing is perfect lol,” said another.

Others praised Kate’s decision to take the cake, with one writing: “You did it beautifully!”

“Solid save though!!,” said another.
