What are the fast food restaurants missing from California?

California seems to have it all. It has the beach, the mountains, the big cities, the desert, and perfect weather all year round. When it comes to lifestyle, you can live in a city, in the country, on a cliff, in a valley, near or in the mountains, or in a house overlooking the ocean. It has celebrities, homeless people, surfers, and snowboarders. California has it all, including when it comes to dining. You can find a great restaurant on every corner and it doesn’t matter what food you want. It seems like the perfect place to live. There are a few things that California doesn’t have yet, however, including some of the most popular fast food chains in the country. Here are five of the best fast food chains that you won’t find in the Golden State.

Culver’s in California

Anyone who has ever eaten at Culver’s knows that the Golden State is missing something. They offer delicious butter burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches and fish and amazing milkshakes and ice cream. They have the best of everything, but unfortunately there are no restaurants in California. The restaurant is based in Wisconsin but has over 800 restaurants across the countryThe closest location is in Arizona.

White Castle has been a popular fast food chain for quite some time, but it became even more popular thanks to the early 2000s movie “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.” With a Hollywood movie being made about the fast food chain, it seems like there is one near Hollywood, but there are actually none in the entire state. They are based in Columbus, Ohio and have over 300 locations.but most are located in the northern and eastern regions, with the closest being across the country in California.

Braum’s isn’t as well-known as some of the others on this list, but anyone who lives in the Southwest region knows about this popular Oklahoma-based restaurant chain. They offer burgers, shakes, and ice creams, and even have a small grocery store in the restaurants. They stick has Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Arkansas due to the location of the dairy. This way, their items can be delivered daily, fresh and stay It’s a must-see if you’re in the area and unfortunately, California will probably never be home to a Braum’s.

Whataburger in California

The most popular restaurant on this list, Whataburger, surprisingly doesn’t have a location in California. Anyone who has lived in or been to the Southern United States will probably agree that Whataburger is one of the best burgers around and one of the best fast food chains. They’re open 24 hours a day, which appeals to young people and travelers, and they have some of the best greasy food you can find. There’s been a debate for years between In-N-Out and Whataburger, despite being such polar opposites. Whataburger would probably thrive in the Golden State, but for now, they’re sticking to the southern part of the country.

No Bojangles in California

Bojangles is one of the most popular fried chicken fast food chains in the East. It originated in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has over 800 different locations, but none of them are in the Golden State. The chain is primarily present in the East, with a few locations in the middle part of the country, making it unlikely that they will ever expand across the country, but if you ever find yourself on the East Coast, be sure to get a Bojangles. You won’t regret it. The closest one is currently in El Paso, Texas.

These are just a few examples of the best fast food chains you won’t find in California. There’s hope for some of them to one day expand to the Golden State, but the chances are slim for most of them. To see some more that you won’t find in California, make sure to Click this link.
