Which is on the ballot, where to vote
The annual elections of Sandwich Town will include three disputed races, a race for the board of directors which currently has no candidates and two voting issues.
“The planning board is always a kind of seat difficult to fill out,” said municipal clerk Taylor White. “But it has never been completely emptied before.”
The elections will take place on May 8.
What are the disputed breeds?
There is an open seat with two people in progress for the constable; Three people appear for two seats in the school committee race and three people appear for a headquarters for the board of directors.
Candus Susan Thomson, of sandwich, presents himself against Ralph Anthony Vitacco of Forestdale for the post of three -year constable.
The outgoing school committee Danielle Mr. Binienda of East Sandwich, presents himself against Alexandra Marie Higgins of East Sandwich, and Megan Tammaro de Sandwich for a three -year seat of the school committee.
The elections of the city of Sandwich will be held on May 8. In this photo of November 8, 2022, a constant flow of voters in the middle of the morning arrives at the Wing school in Sandwich in the constituencies 1 and 2 casting with their ballots on the day of the ballot. The survey sites for the city’s elections in 2025 are the 1-3 districts will vote at the Corpus Christi Parish Hall, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road and the 4-6 districts will vote at the Center for Active Living, 70 Quaker Meetinghouse Road.
Dennis Edwin Newman from Forestdale; Gene John Parini of Sandwich and David J. Sampson de Forestdale are all showing up for an unpired mandate of one year on the selected card. The position became vacant on the death of the member of the Board of Directors Michael Miller.
Planning council writing options
Without candidates who present themselves to the board of directors and two full seats of three years will open, the ballot will have two options for candidates to write.
“The two spots are winning,” said White.
Voting
The ballot 1 is linked to an overload modification for the special investment fund for city’s municipal water infrastructure. The dedicated source of financing can be spent for maintenance, improvements and investments in municipal alcohol consumption, wastewater and rainwater infrastructure assets.
The source of financing is a supplement on the annual property tax evaluated on real estate. The originally accepted supplement by the city is 2%. The amendment will increase the surcharge by 2 to 3%, from July 1, 2026.
Voters will also examine a non -binding public advisory voting issue linked to Holtec, owner of the pilgrim nuclear power plant in Plymouth. Voters will decide if they want the city to say that Governor Maura Healey and the Atrea Campbell prosecutor Andrea Campbell do everything you need to prevent Holtec from freeing the sparkling discharge from industrial wastewater contaminated by radioactive and chemically in Pilgrim. According to the issue of election, the release of the gas liberation violates the law on the ocean.
Where to vote
Constituencies 1-3 will vote at the Corpus Christi Parish Hall, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road and the voters in the constituencies 4-6 will vote at the Center for Active Living, 70 Quaker Meetinghouse Road.
