A Hello Kitty cake has gone viral after it looked like a mix of famous horror movie characters Freddy Krueger and Chucky.
Kenia Ramos, of Monterrey, Mexico, complained on Facebook last week that a woman she asked to bake a cake botched the $16 dessert.
“Guys don’t buy Fernanda Esquivel cakes,” Ramos’ caption read alongside a photo of the cake and Esquivel’s profile on the social media platform. “She charged me (300 pesos) for a Hello Kitty head cake. Poor service. I don’t recommend it.
The birthday cake featured pink icing on the base of the cake that highlighted the white face of the famous Japanese fictional character.
Esqueviel went even further by drawing red lines on the face, strikingly resembling the characters from Nightmare on Elm Street and Child’s Play.

She used a yellow object for Hello Kitty’s nose, placed a set of shiny fake teeth as an additional accessory, and added three strips of chocolate on each side in place of the whiskers.
The cake sparked a wave of comments from followers who were just as shocked as Ramos.
One user initially thought it was a pig, which another commenter agreed.
“I thought it was the face of a demon,” wrote another.

After the failed Hello Kitty cake, Ramos asked his followers if they knew anyone who could create the fictional character out of flowers
“What the hell,” said another user. “I think I’m going to dream about this cake. May God catch us confessed. He has better teeth than mine. I’m going to buy them.
However, Esqueviel jumped into the comments section and confirmed that they were just playing around.
“Don’t believe her. This is a joke,” she wrote. “I don’t even know how to cook a damn egg.”
Ramos continued the joke by asking her followers if she should sign Esqueviel up for cooking classes.
Her love of Hello Kitty hasn’t been spoiled by the scary cake: she’s now looking for someone who can create a version of the character with a flower.
