On the path of this new treats of treats in Louisville, you will probably pass according to soft standards such as Krispy Kreme, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and Crumbl Cookies.

These old faithful and the relatively new Crumbll will always do the trick for your desires, and they are each unless one mile of each other.

But also near this section of Shelbyville Road in Middletown is a place offering a combination of each food group, if you can call the donuts, ice cream and cookies their own food groups.

Since its launch in 2018, Yonutz has gone mad on social networks and has become famous Internet for its fanciful and broken donuts.

“Fucking and ice cream are probably the two favorite desserts in America,” said Tony Bahu, CEO and founder of the brand. “So, put them together in a single dessert and that does wonders.”

The buzz has traveled here, with the channel based in Florida opening its first location in Louisville, 12939 Shelbyville Road, continued 101, at the end of February by local franchisees Ben and Amanda Hiner. The husband and the wife have another trading partner in their 21 -year -old son, Austin, whose love of donuts inspired the involvement of the family with Yonutz.

Ben Hiner told Courier Journal that they had examined 100 different donut companies before signing with Bahu.

“We fell in love with Yonutz,” said Hiner. “We knew it was this one.”

And they have major projects beyond a Yonutz. The Hiner crew hopes to open at least 20 locations in the next five or six years in Kentucky, Cincinnati and Indiana.

Since the opening of the doors of Yonutz, business has been regularly occupied, “much more than what we expected or think,” said Hiner.

He bets who has something to do with the Yonutz concept and the brand’s high -energy colorful atmosphere.

When a boss enters, for example, they will hear the greeting “Yo!” Welcome to Yonutz! ”

They will also see fun menu options, such as broken donuts, where a glass donut is cut in half, filled with ice, pressed on a heated plate, cut again in two and stacked with garnishes.

Nutella Crunch reigns as the most popular, and the treat is delivered with ice cream with cookie dough, nutella burns and pieces of chopped crunch and butter.

Yonutz also offers broken milkshakes, such as strawberry -based strawberries shortcakes, golden oreos and miniature donut on top.

If you are looking for a simpler donut or a spoon of ice cream or a breakfast sandwich, Yonutz has also covered.

Although the brand can have a large suite online, Yonutz has – for the moment – less than 20 locations across the country, which makes Hinnin happy to have it in Louisville.

“It has always been a gastronomic city,” said Hiner, who has lived in Louisville for 25 years. “It’s just a more unique thing in Louisville that few cities still have.”
