Are you tired of breakfast? These ideas will stop you from eating the same thing

As the age-old saying goes: breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Yes, it’s an opportunity to fuel up and absorb that protein, but for many, finding inspiration can be a real struggle. Many of us end up eating the same thing every day – and while a new favorite breakfast may be a novelty, it often disappears.

New research shows that 13% of Brits say breakfast is their favorite meal of the day, and only seven in 10 (or 69%) look forward to waking up and eating it. Ouch.

Plus, many of us find comfort in breakfast habits – and almost a fifth of breakfast eaters (18%) start their day with the same dish every morning. Millions of people haven’t changed their breakfast choice in five years.

So, what’s behind this trend? Half of the 2,000 people surveyed say it’s part of their routine, and one in 10 attribute it to a lack of creativity.

And if the idea of “breakfast pudding” appeals to you, you may not be alone. The Alpro study also shed light on the different personalities of foodies, including the “multi-course diner” – which 30% of those surveyed admitted to being, usually treating themselves to more than one dish. In London, this figure rises to a staggering 49%.

Elsewhere, the study found that a third of people are ‘breakfast wavers’ – and can’t decide what to eat at all.
