Alpharetta Restaurant Week

More than 45 Alpharetta restaurants will offer multi-course dinners between $25 and $50 and lunch menus between $25 and $35 during Alpharetta Restaurant Week. Some participating restaurants include Ceviche, Colletta, Minnie Olivia, Ray’s at Killer Creek, Rina, Vas Kouzina and Citizen Soul.

Dahlonega Chocolate Tour

Head to Dahlonega, North Georgia for a week-long celebration of chocolate. Local stores and restaurants will hand out free samples of treats including fudge, cookies, candy, pies, ice cream and specialty drinks. Attendees can pick up a passport at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Visitor Center and once at least nine of the establishments have been checked off, attendees will be entered into a drawing to win tickets to see Shawn Mullins at the historic theater Holly.

Chai Pani Decatur Birthday

Chai Pani in Decatur will celebrate 11 years in business with an $11 lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and retro dinner specials from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Food and wine pairing Nahm Fine Thai Cuisine

Celebrate women winemakers at this wine pairing dinner at Nahm Fine Thai Cuisine. Attendees can learn about the impact of women winemakers while enjoying a five-course menu that will pair wine varietals with Thai cuisine. Menu highlights include salmon croquettes, clam curry and lemongrass scallop ceviche.

Girl Scout Cookie and Wine Pairing

The Epicurean Atlanta Hotel in Midtown will host a Girl Scout Cookie and Wine Pairing Event featuring five wines and five cookies: Trefoils, Lemon-Ups, Thin Mints, Samoas and S’mores. Kelly Cornett, wine consultant at the hotel, will lead the event.

Beer Day in Georgia

Georgia Beer Day is the perfect excuse to support your local independent breweries. Visit one of the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild’s 88 participating locations to sip a beer and possibly take home a commemorative pint glass. Some participating breweries include Bold Monk Brewing, Cherry Street Brewing, Halfway Crooks Beer and Monday Night Brewing.

Oscar Viewing Party

Walk the red carpet at Enzo Steakhouse & Bar’s Oscar viewing party. A photographer will take photos as guests make their grand entrance, and before the show begins, attendees will be able to sip champagne until 7 p.m. General admission tickets include a glass of prosecco, two drinks and food.

Mother Shucker Oyster Festival

Arnette’s Chop Shop will host its fourth annual Oyster Festival in the restaurant’s courtyard with unlimited oysters served raw, roasted and simmered with sides. There will also be a live band and a selection of cocktails, beers and wines.

Hand cooking

Hector Santiago of El Super Pan will join chefs Eddie Hernandez of Taqueria del Sol, Carlo Tomasko of Bacchanalia, Arturo Justo of Kimball House and Andy Gonzales of The Companion for a pop-up fundraiser at Taqueria del Sol. The event will benefit the Latino Community Fund. Tickets include dishes from each chef.

Crayfish porridge

Hartley Kitchen & Cocktail will serve family-style crawfish boil, accompanied by a live demonstration from Executive Chef Mark Alba and a specialty punch or cocktail. Diners can expect crawfish, corn on the cob, red potatoes, andouille sausage, cheddar cornbread, deviled eggs, chicken and sausage jambalaya, cabbage green and donuts.

Wild Workout Dinner with Nourish Botanica

Nourish Botanica will host a fundraising dinner to celebrate its second anniversary. The four-course meal will feature Caribbean and Asian influences with dishes from Meraki Soul and Leftie Lee’s. Funds will be used to purchase seeds, plants and soil for the community garden and to pay the Nourish Advisory Committee and farm staff.

Wine Pairing Dinner for Women’s History Month

Join Bill Brillinger, sommelier and beverage director at The Betty, for a wine pairing dinner that will spotlight women in the wine industry. Brillinger partnered with Napa Valley’s Tres Sabores Winery to highlight owner and winemaker Julie Johnson. The four-course menu will feature dishes from Johnson’s Ranch and wine pairings with Tres Sabores wine.

St. Patrick’s Day Party at Atkins Park

Come to Smyrna Market Village for the 21st annual Atkins Park St. Patrick’s Day Festival. There will be Guinness and Irish drink specials, as well as Irish dishes like shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash. The festival will feature games, a children’s zone with inflatables, raffles and live music throughout the weekend.

Burger Week Gwinnett

During Gwinnett Burger Week, participating restaurants create a custom burger that will be available for $10 throughout the week. Diners can vote for their favorite burger and the winning restaurant will be crowned the best burger of Gwinnett Burger Week.

Street food and tequila tasting

Guac Taco Studio and Bar in Stone Mountain will offer street food and tequila tasting. Menu highlights include seared jerk shrimp skewers, jicama salad and fried plantains with a blackberry-mint mojito; a chicken al pastor taco with chipotle crema, cilantro and charred pineapple accompanied by Don Julio Reposado; and a duck birria taco with parfait, cilantro and lime accompanied by Don Julio Anejo.

Sushi making class

Brush Sushi Chef Jason Liang will lead participants in a sushi-making workshop. He will demonstrate how to prepare sushi rice, nigiri sushi, snow crab California rolls, spicy tuna temaki and negi toro ikura temaki. There is also an optional sake pairing.

Eatavision movie and dinner

Sample cuisine inspired by the Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki film “Howl’s Howling Castle” at Eatavision’s latest event at the Plaza Theater. Menu items include chocolate eclair, black tea, Swiss cheese bread, turnip head, rice porridge and green jelly.
