Stone Street Food and Stone Sunday Series events return to town in 2024 > A Little Bit of Stone

The team behind popular Stone Street Food and Stone Sunday Series events are celebrating, having recently agreed another fantastic schedule of High Street events for the coming year.

A joint venture between organizers Stone Food & Drink Festival and Stone Traders Group, the aim of these not-for-profit events is to support the High Street by bringing regular visitors to the town centre.

This year, the hugely popular Stone Street Food events will take place from Thursday to Friday evening, with the blessing of the city center’s bars and restaurants. They will take place on the High Street from 3pm to 9pm on the third Friday of each month from May to October:

  • May 17
  • 21st of June
  • July 19
  • August 16
  • September 20
  • October 18.

As well as many well-known favourites, a number of new street food traders have expressed interest in being part of the mouth-watering range of global flavors on offer.

The popular “Four Wheel Fest” will return as part of this year’s Sunday Series events.Stone Sunday Series, meanwhile, sees the High Street invaded by several themed events throughout the year. This year’s program sees the return of the famous Four Wheel Fest on Sunday May 12, with a wider transport festival on Sunday September 15 featuring buses, tractors, cars, bikes and (hopefully) wheel machines. steam exposed in the city.

A family-friendly Halloween festival on Sunday October 27 will include dance school demonstrations, children’s entertainment and activities and more spooky entertainment with the festive fun of the city’s two Christmas markets on Sunday November 17 and Sunday December 8, completing the program. .

The impact of events like these cannot be underestimated: the visitors they attract to the city center provide a much-needed boost to our local businesses in what remains a very difficult time.

We are excited about the move of Street Food events to Friday evenings with the support of our local food and drink businesses. We hope this will allow even more visitors to join us for what has always been a lively event.
